Understanding Acid-Alkaline Balance

The pH of your blood is regulated by a complicated system of that is constantly working to maintain a range of 7.35 to 7.45. If your r pH falls below 7.35, the result is a condition called acidosis, a state that leads to central nervous system depression. When this becomes severe and falls below 7.00, it can lead to coma and even death.

There are many control systems in the body that maintain balance of acid but over time they begin to fail as a simple function of long-term overload. We want to avoid this by not stressing the systems in our body. When your body’s alkaline buffers are not eaten in sufficient daily quantities, toxic-acid waste accumulates in the cells causing damage to your overall health. Try to eat more alkaline foods!
